When LA Construction Group took on a major new industrial facility build in Arkansas, they selected The Foust Group as a key subcontractor for all civil and foundation work. Over three years, our team provided complete foundation, paving, and sitework services for the plant’s entire infrastructure. This included constructing equipment, building, and piperack foundations, as well as handling all concrete paving, excavation, and dirt work. We managed formwork, rebar placement, and anchor bolt installation, ensuring every component met precise engineering specifications.
The project presented significant challenges, including unstable ground conditions and extreme weather that caused multiple shutdowns due to heat, rain, and ice storms. We also navigated a complex and active construction site, working alongside numerous other contractors. Our team overcame these obstacles by adjusting pour schedules to recover lost time, implementing real-time schedule tracking, and maintaining constant communication with the prime contractor and engineers. This proactive coordination ensured we met every deadline for equipment installation.
Despite the interruptions, we completed all phases on schedule and to specification. All concrete foundations achieved the required cure times and passed third-party testing, allowing the project to move forward without delay.
