The Foust Group completed a large-scale field coatings project, restoring a 40-foot by 113-foot Ground Storage Tank (GST) at the NCMC South Water Treatment Plant. Our team managed the full blasting and painting of both the tank’s interior and exterior surfaces.

To ensure environmental compliance, we constructed a full containment system around the exterior, using scaffolding for access and support. Inside the tank, our crews safely used electric manlifts, with careful site supervision to coordinate movement and prevent overblast.

We worked in close coordination with the prime contractor and the end customer to sequence all activities without disrupting other site operations. Our scope included achieving the precise surface profile required by engineers before applying a multi-coat protective system. We also handled the proper disposal of all spent abrasive and waste with certified state agencies and waste haulers.
